According to the organization Destination Winnipeg the city of Winnipeg is poised to experience the greatest economic growth in a decade in 2008. Some of the organization’s facts and figures include:

  • The Winnipeg economy created over 7,000 net new jobs in 2007.
  • The Winnipeg REALTORS® reported record sales of $2.23 billion in 2007, up 19% from the previous year.
  • Personal disposable income in 2007 was projected to increase a healthy 5%.
